When Carter boasted that her book, "The Comedy Bible" could make anyone funny, the producers of the popular TLC show, "Faking It" put her to the test. Shot over a period of a month, this one-hour episode documents Carter successfully turning an unfunny Washington State fireman, into a bona-fide stand-up comic.  

Using techniques from Judy's book, the fireman is put through the wringer of writing jokes, getting heckled, bombing, and even performing on a bus, all to prepare him for his final test -- to "fake it" as a professional stand-up comic in front of a panel of Hollywood pros.  

In the nail-biting finale, the fireman successfully fools the panel of pros as they peg him for a professional stand-up comic who has been performing for years.
